I haven't found anything re Frances Matthews, but this page of photos has a bunch of Matthews on it... (as well as Bowles, Pursley, Burch, etc.).  I'm guessing she almost has to belong to this clan.  We'll see.

And there's a 'Matthews Cemetery' to find & review.

  • Francis (Frances?) Matthews (1804) married Nathan Anderson Bowles.
